Want Great Italian Food? Milton's Pizza and Pasta is the Place.

Restaurant:  Milton's Pizza and Pasta in Wake Forest, NC

Dish:  Spinach, Pepperoni, and Sausage Calzone

Critique:  Our friends at Milton's stuffed this fantastic calzone with ricotta and mozzarella cheeses.  Yes, it was packed with fresh spinach, spicy pepperoni, and Italian sausage but Milton's pizza dough is what sold The Hotness on this Great Calzone!  We caution amateur calzone customers to take their time when selecting calzone ingredients, this crucial in guaranteeing a satisfying calzone.  Of course, the Hotness and Sweetly are professional calzone consumers at platinum status.  The quality of the dough and ingredients is what makes Milton's stand out as one of the best Italian restaurants in Wake Forest.  Don't forget the marinara dipping sauce!

Score:  4 out of 4 Hotties!

Dish:  Ocean City Pasta

Critique:  Crabmeat.  Juicy, Plump Shrimp. Served over sauteed garlic and olive oil fettuccine dusted with Old Bay seasonings.  Need I say more?  Seafood lovers will appreciate the true freshness of this dish without the hassle of casting a net in the Atlantic Ocean.  Hey, we didn't know that the workers of Fresh Catch worked for Milton's! Keep up the great work guys!

Dish:  Colossal NY Style Cheesecake

Critique:  "Start spreading the news, I am leaving today, I want to be a part of it,  New York, New York..." Oh, New York...this cheesecake is singing to us, begging us to be a part of it.  Well, Mr. Cheesecake there's  no need to beg, we will gladly take you apart and demolish you for being a naughty dessert.  You creamy tower of yumminess, yes, spread the news because it's surely going down today!

Sweet Potatoes Let's Everyone Know Why It's So Sah-Weet!!

Restaurant:  Sweet Potatoes in Winston-Salem, NC

Dish:  3-Cheese Macaroni & Country Ham Souffle

Critique:  Pop quiz...how do you make Macaroni & Cheese even better?  Turn it into a souffle, add 3 different types of cheeses (sharp yellow, white cheddar, and blue cheese), and country HAM!  This dish arrived to our table piping HOT, but that didn't stop The Hotness from shoveling forkfuls into her mouth...after all she is The Hotness.  Yes,she has the scorched lips and tongue to prove it, but she declared the pain was so worth it.  Not to mention names...but someone needs to learn patience.  This Mac &Cheese was beyond our wildest fantasies.  Thank you Sweet Potatoes for making our Cheese Fantasies come true!

Score: 4 out of 4 Hotties!!

Dish:  Drunken Pork Chops with Apple Brandy Gravy

Critique:  The name aptly describes this dish...because you will feel giddy and relaxed after taking one succulent bite.  The Hotness once again failed the patience test because she wolfed down half her meal before snapping a picture of her wondrous dish, thankfully Superman came to the rescue :)  Back to the pork chops- the seasoning on each center cut chop was perfectomundo which added an awesome contrast to the lovely sweet potato cornbread dressing.  Definitely bring a breathalyzer to the drunken pork chop party...it's THAT serious and trust us you would want it to be.

Score:  4 out of 4 Hotties!!

Dish:  Sweet Potato Pie

Critique:  Now we know why Sweet Potatoes is ranked as one of the top five restaurants in Winston-Salem.  Aaaaah this pie let's us know why- served a tad bit warm with whipped cream, the sweet potato is truly the star of this dessert.   And we're happy about that! The Uber Super Star Sweet Potato pie...that's what we're calling it.  We will gladly lobby to have a "Sweet Potato Pie" Star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.  DELICIOUS...period.

Simply Crepes...Simply Different

Restaurant:  Simply Crepes in Raleigh, NC
Dish:  Chicken Cordon Bleu Crepe

Critique:  I don't know...when I think of a crepe, I think of a thin cake batter pancake made from the streets of Paris not a spongy angel food type pancake.  Although this dish contains sliced ham, grilled chicken, melted Swiss cheese, and Alfredo sauce- the Panko breaded crepe added a slight sweetness to the entree that was distracting to The Hotness taste-buds.  While the inside of the crepe satisfied our expectation of the Chicken Cordon Bleu, the Panko crepe itself wasn't the best match for Mr. Cordon Bleu.  Call us when Le Crepe loses Mr. Panko!

Score: 2.5 of out 4 Hotties!

Dish:  Fresh Strawberry Crepe

Critique:  The Hotness favs- strawberries and vanilla ice cream!  The crepe texture gives this dessert a unique taste...unique in a good way.  The berries shine through the as the main star and the creaminess of the vanilla bean ice cream balances out the sugary delicacy of the berries.  If you want to try something simply different, we recommend Simply Crepes.
